Accelerate: Directing Workshop
Spend two days working with our Artistic Director Christopher Elmer-Gorry as he shares his process of directing a play.

Christopher's Directing Credits include: When They Go Low by Natalie Mitchell, Hansel and Gretel by Carl Grose (Warts and All Theatre), From The Ground Up (Almeida Theatre and Edinburgh Festival 2017) Press Go (Almeida Theatre) Oh No! Not Snow! (Royal and Derngate) He also regularly directs for Drama Schools and Universities.
Youll spend day one:
Exploring the role of the director and their responsibilities
Choosing an extract of from a play which you will prepare for a rehearsal process.
Discuss and develop your ideas for a Directors Concept.
Youll spend day two:
Directing actors on the scene you chose on day one.
Sharing your work with other masterclass participants.
Receiving feedback for your directing process.
A Q&A Session exploring the role of the actor/director relationship.
Date: Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June
